During a press conference after Round 1 at the East Lake Golf Club, Scottie Scheffler was asked if there was any 'homework' for his caddie Tedd Scott to adjust to the new course. He was also asked in which particular instance did Scott's experience help him.

Scottie Scheffler answered (via ASAP Sports):

"Yeah, there was a lot of extra homework for Ted. It's hard to really narrow it to one shot, but pretty much every shot is very important. Just his knowledge of the course, he put a lot of work in this week to get us both ready, because like you said, I came off the last two weeks where you've had a hot week and then a week at elevation so fatigue could be a factor. I did my best to get some rest in the prep week and Ted did a good job getting out there and doing all the work we needed to on the course."

In Round 2 of the Tour Championship, Scottie Scheffler will be paired with Collin Morikawa who tied for second place after Round 1. The duo will tee off at 14:00 PM (ET) at the East Lake Golf Club.

Scottie Scheffler's caddie is assumed to have earned more than top professional golfers in 2024

The 2024 season has been immensely successful for Scottie Scheffler. This year, he won six events on the PGA Tour, and apart from that, he also won the gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. While these victories on the Tour earned him a lot of fame, it also rewarded Scheffler with money.

However, as per "Golf Digest", it seems like Scheffler is not the only one who has benefitted from his victories. Tedd Scott, Scheffler's Caddie, might have earned more than professional golfers like Jordan Spieth and Min Woo Lee.

Before his recent outing at the BMW Championship, Scottie Scheffler made a total of $29,108,691 from his victories. If one assumes Scheffler paid Scott 10% of his earnings from these victories, then the Caddie would have most likely made a staggering $2,910,869.

This amount would place Tedd Scott in 56th place on the PGA Tour money list. It also means that Scott would surpass golfers like Spieth and Min Woo Lee. This year, Spieth has made a total of $2,732,591, whereas Min Woo Lee has earned $2,519,726. Spieth and Lee are ranked in 59th and 63rd place on the PGA Tour money list.
