LPGA’s new generation star Jeeno Thitikul eager to put on a show for golf fans

The Thai professional golfer Jeeno Thitikul is co-leading the 2024 Maybank Championship at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club in Malaysia. The 21-year-old is co-leading the event with Haeran Ryu and Ruoning Yin with a score of -16.

Hence, going into the final round, the 2024 Maybank Championship is all set for an exciting finish. This year is just the second season of the Maybank Championship, as the tournament started in 2023. Hence, the golfers competing this week are trying to put on a show for the fans who are attending the event in person.

One of the co-leaders, Thitikul, revealed they are like the new generation of golf and are trying to put on a show for the fans just like the previous generation did.

"We trying to put a show for all the fans here. We're like the new generation coming up. Just a new generation trying to be like the previous generations that put on all the show for all the fans," Jeeno Thitikul said.

Thitikul joined the LPGA Tour in 2022 and registered her first win at the Dow Championship this year. She will try her best to replicate that performance this week and register her third win of the season.

Jeeno Thitikul will tee off in the final group at 09:17 am local time (9:17 pm ET on Saturday, October 26) from the first tee. She is paired with Ruoning Yin and Haeran Ryu, who are also co-leading the event.
