Masters 2023: Round 2 leaderboard and round 3 tee times explored

The second round of The Masters concluded on Saturday (April 8) morning with Brooks Koepka securing the top position. He finished the second round with a scoring deficit of five to make it a total of under 12. He will start the third round with a two-stroke lead over Jon Rahm.

52 golfers made the cut in the second round and will be playing the last two rounds to win the green jacket.

Fred Couples created history at Augusta this year by making the cut at the age of 63. Tiger Woods also made the cut for the 23rd time. He finished with a score of 3. The projected cut was recorded to be over 2 on Friday (April 7) after the game was suspended but was increased to three as the second round proceeded.

Current world No. 2 Rory McIlroy missed the cut while Louis Oosthuizen withdrew from the tournament after playing 17 holes. Justin Thomas also missed the cut after finishing with a score of 4.

Defending Champion Scottie Scheffler finished with a score deficit of one. He will start the third round 11 shots behind leader Brooks Koepka. Sam Bennett is making headlines after becoming the first amateur golfer to finish in the top 3 after the 36 holes at The Masters.

Masters 2023: Round 2 leaderboard

Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, and Viktor Hovland have topped the leaderboard after the opening round. However, Koepka maintained the top position while Rahm slipped down to second place and Hovland is sharing fourth place with Collin Morikawa.

The third round of The Masters will start at 11:30 am ET with Adam Scott, Patrick Cantlay and Cameron Smith starting on the first tee while Sepp Straka, Harold Varner III, and Dustin Johnson start the game on the tenth hole.
