Netflix's popular golf docuseries Full Swing confirmed for Season 3; All we know so far

Netflix has renewed the popular golf docuseries Full Swing for another season. The docuseries initially premiered on the streaming giant in 2023 and quickly became a hit among fans, garnering 53,100,000 hours of viewing within just a few months of its release. Owing to the immense success of the first season, the second season premiered earlier this year, and it also gained popularity among sports lovers.

Full Swing highlights the challenging lives of several renowned professional golfers. The first season primarily focused on the tension between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, with many golfers opening up about their struggles. Meanwhile, the second season covered the merger announcement between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, with the concluding episodes, titled "All Roads Lead to Rome, Part 1 and Part 2," offering a detailed look at the 2023 Ryder Cup.

Now, there's more good news for fans, as Netflix has officially announced another season of the series. Taking to their X (formerly Twitter) account, the streaming giant wrote:

"FORE! Full Swing Season 3 is coming in 2025."

Although the official release date for the third season hasn't been announced yet, it is expected to hit the platform sometime in 2025.


Full Swing Seasons 1 and 2 recap

The first season of Full Swing consists of eight episodes, each around 40 to 50 minutes long. The first episode, titled "Frenemies," focuses on the friendship between Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, while the second episode centers around Brooks Koepka and Scottie Scheffler at the Masters.

Golfers such as Ian Poulter open up about their decision to join LIV Golf, and Rory McIlroy discusses the Saudi-backed circuit in the final episodes of the season. The first season also features appearances by Sahith Theegala, Collin Morikawa, Dustin Johnson, and Joel Dahmen.

The first two episodes of Season 2 revolve around the merger announcement between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf and how the golfers reacted to it. This season once again follows the challenges of one of the golfers, Joel Dahmen.

The early episodes explore players' lives and challenges on and off the golf course, while the concluding three episodes focus on the Ryder Cup. The sixth episode, "Pick Six," centers on U.S. Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson as he makes his decision to select six players for the biennial tournament in Rome, and the final two episodes showcase the Ryder Cup and the European team's victory in Rome.
