Patrick Cantlay and $30M-worth teammate become first ones to tease the SoFi Center ahead of TGL

PGA Tour golfers Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas gave fans an exclusive first tease of the SoFi Center ahead of TGL. The first match of the Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's TGL League will be played on Tuesday, January 7.

Cantlay and Thomas showed the advanced virtual setup designed to merge technology with traditional golf at Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. They are both members of Atlanta Drive GC, whose official twitter page shared the video and X, with the caption reading:

"The hype is real @JustinThomas34 and @patrick_cantlay give us an exclusive first look at the SoFi Center."

In the initial frames of the clip, Justin Thomas, who has a net worth of $30 million as per Celebrity Net Worth, can be seen on the green, hitting drives against a massive virtual backdrop. He then turned to Cantlay and called him a "faraway hitting machine."

Cantlay then can be seen taking a putt down the simulated fairway. In the video, vibrant LED lighting, and expansive digital displays can be seen.

Six teams will be competing in TGL and each team consists of four members. The teams are as follows:

When will be the TGL matches held?

TGL recently announced its schedule for its inaugural season. The match will be held on Tuesday, January 7. Each of the six teams will face five other teams. A total of 15 matches will be held. The top four teams will then advance to the playoffs.
