“Proud of you”: Brooks Koepka in awe as brother Chase gets inducted into his university’s Hall of Fame

Brooks Koepka shared a picture of his younger brother, Chase Koepka, on his Instagram stories to congratulate him for getting inducted into the University of South Florida's Hall of Fame.

Jena Sims also joined her husband at the University of Florida to watch his brother get inducted into the University's Hall of Fame. The couple also took their son Crew to the event.

She shared a group picture of everyone, including Chase Koepka, with his Hall of Fame memento.

She dressed up her son Crew in a tuxedo and shared this image on her stories, revealing this was the first time he wore a tuxedo.

How did Chase Koepka perform in college golf?

Chase Koepka is four years younger than Brooks Koepka and was part of the University of Florida from 2012 to 2016. He showcased incredible performances throughout the four years. He registered four wins in 130 rounds, including 23 top-10 finishes in his collegiate career.

In the 2012-13 season, as a freshman, he played in 11 tournaments and finished second at the Big East Championship, with a low round of 65 at the Seminole Intercollegiate.

In the 2013-14 season, he became the first golfer in the University of South Florida history to average less than par and was ranked 12th in the national scoring rating. He registered two wins that year and moved into 10th place on the University of South Florida's career birdies list.

In the 2014-15 season, Chase shot par or better 21 times, finished in the top 25 nine times and top 10 six times, and earned his third collegiate championship.

In the 2015-16 season, he registered his fourth title at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular. He helped USF make consecutive trips to the NCAA Championships for the first time.

Chase Koepka joined LIV Golf in 2022 and competed in the event for two years. However, he did not qualify for the 2024 season and had to leave the Saudi-backed circuit.

At the end of the 2023 LIV Golf season, his big brother Brooks Koepka said that even though Chase was working hard, he was struggling a little bit.

"I know he's working hard," Brooks Koepka said via the Mirror. "I know he's been trying. We've been practicing together quite a bit. Honestly, he's struggling a little bit."

Hence, after going through a downfall, this will come as a boost and proud moment for the Koepka brothers and they will cherish this moment for a long time.
