'Realist' Jon Rahm gets 100% real about LIV top-10 streak ahead of US Open 2025: "I’d happily trade a bunch of them for wins"

Spanish golfer Jon Rahm has had 20 top-10 finishes in LIV Golf but has only won two individual titles in the league. When asked to express how he felt about the incredible statistic, he said that he’d honestly give up some of his top-10 finishes for more wins.

Rahm has won 11 events on the PGA Tour and 10 on the European Tour. He made his LIV Golf debut in February 2024 at Mayakoba and since then, has had an incredible run on the league. A two-time major championship winner, he won his first major title at the 2021 US Open and his second at the 2023 Masters Tournament.

During a press conference ahead of the 2025 US Open, the Barrica-born golfer was asked to contextualize his top-10 LIV Golf streak, and he said:

“I would happily trade a bunch of them for more wins, that's for sure, but I keep putting myself in a good position. Listen, I'm a realist in this case. I've been playing really good golf, yes, but I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't easier to have top 10s with a smaller field. That's just the truth, right?”

“It's hard to say. There's definitely some weeks, like last week for example, having a weaker Sunday than everybody else, I don't think I would have top 10'd,” he added (via ASAP Sports).

Rahm admitted that he may not have made the top-10 spot in full-field events, but would’ve probably played well enough to be in the top-30 or 25. He also added that while winning a tournament is not an easy feat to accomplish, one can "take advantage of a smaller field to finish higher."

Jon Rahm’s first-ever LIV Golf tournament was in Mayokaba in 2024, where he finished tied for third place with Dean Burmester. Following that, he placed a solo eighth in Las Vegas and fifth in Jedah. That same year, he claimed victories in the United Kingdom and in Chicago.
