Kevin Yu's victory at the Sanderson Farms Championship helped him jump 36 spots in the FedEx Cup Fall standings, moving up to 60th and overtaking players like Min Woo Lee.
On Sunday, October 6, Yu won the Sanderson Farms Championship by defeating Beau Hossler in a playoff. His maiden PGA Tour win not only earned him a paycheck of $1,368,000 but also 500 FedEx Cup Fall points.
Yu entered the Country Club of Jackson ranked 96th in the FedEx Cup standings. He had missed three cuts in his last five starts and finished outside the top 50 in the other two. However, this week marked a turning point for the 26-year-old from Taiwan.
