Stewart Cink beats Jim Furyk, others to unique PGA Tour record at 3M Open

Stewart Cink has made a remarkable record at the 3M Open 2024 at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota. He made the cut for the 505th time on the PGA Tour since his debut in 1995. Cink became a professional in 1995 and started playing on the Tour in the same year.

Jim Furyk is second on the list with 495 cuts made since the start of the 1995 season. Woods on the other hand has played 378 PGA events and made cuts in 339 of them after turning professional in 1996.

In the first round at the 3M Open 2024, Cink made six birdies against a bogey to finish at a score of 5-under 66. In the second round, Cink started with two bogeys on the first two holes on the back nine. He rebounded with an eagle on the par-5 12th hole and a birdie on the 14th hole.

On the front nine, he made two birdies on the 1st and 5th holes against a bogey on the 9th hole. He finished with a score of 7-under 135 after 36 holes and successfully made the Friday cut.

Stewart Cink is currently tied in ninth position with Andrew Novak, Kurt Kitayama, Sam Burns, Matt Kuchar, Justin Lower, Sahith Theegala, Gary Woodland, and Robert Streb. Taylor Pendrith is on the top of the leaderboard with a score of 12-under 130.
