Following the second designated event of the year at Riviera, the PGA Tour will head to the PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, for the 2023 Honda Classic. The regular format event is set to tee off on February 23 and go on until the 26th.The Honda Classic sits in an awkward place on the 2023 PGA Tour schedule as it follows back-to-back designated events. The event is sandwiched between the ongoing Genesis Invitational and the upcoming Arnold Palmer Invitational. As a result, it is bound to feature a weaker field as many of the world’s best players take the week off to rest. The Honda Classic will be headlined by the likes of Sungjae Im, Billy Horschel and Shane Lowry. Apart from the main trio, defending champion Sepp Straka will also be at the PGA National. Following the circuit’s standardized system, the event will feature PGA Tour University No. 1 and two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner Pierceson Coody on the field.PGA TOUR Communications@PGATOURCommsCommitments to The Honda Classic (Feb. 23-26) include 2020 champion Sungjae Im, World No. 19 Billy Horschel and defending champion Sepp Straka.2022 PGA TOUR U No. 1 and two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner Pierceson Coody will make his first start on TOUR as a professional.Field:959Commitments to The Honda Classic (Feb. 23-26) include 2020 champion Sungjae Im, World No. 19 Billy Horschel and defending champion Sepp Straka.2022 PGA TOUR U No. 1 and two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner Pierceson Coody will make his first start on TOUR as a professional.Field: https://t.co/vkMMls0MRyRyder Cup captains Zach Johnson and Luke Donald will also be on the 132-player field.
