DeChambeau played on the PGA Tour until 2022, when he joined LIV Golf. He has won two major championships and came close to securing his third at the PGA Championship this year. However, he fell short and finished in 2nd place.

On day one at LIV Golf Virginia, the California-born golfer shot one bogey and two birdies on the front nine. He shot a sensational eagle on the par-5 14th hole and birdied his next two holes—the 15th and 16th.

After his first shot on the par-3 16th, Bryson DeChambeau’s ball was buried deep in the rough. However, his second shot got the ball out of the rough and into the hole with a phenomenal chip-in that was met with loud cheers from the audience. Even the Crushers' GC captain himself was impressed with his shot. Overcome with joy, he looked at the camera and said,

“What in the world?”

Bryson DeChambeau admits he has played some “great golf recently” ahead of LIV Golf Virginia

“Yeah, I've been playing some great golf recently. My game is in good form. Golf swing feels pretty solid. A lot of it's just more of the same for me right now, continuing to improve on little things that I know I can.”

The 31-year-old golfer stated that whenever his game feels off, he focuses on getting back to his usual standards and always plays to win.

“That's the goal in this great game is to win these tournaments. I don't come here to finish second, as I hope no one else does out here, the same.”

Bryson DeChambeau has claimed three individual LIV Golf titles since he joined the league. He won LIV Golf Greenbrier in 2023 with 23-under 187, six strokes ahead of the runner-up.

Shortly after Greenbrier, he claimed the title in Chicago with a 13-under 200. His third victory was at LIV Golf Korea, which was last month, and he won with 19-under 197, two strokes ahead of Charles Howell III.
