WATCH: Caitlin Clark almost takes out a fan on her first shot off the tee at the Annika LPGA Tournament

Caitlin Clark is competing in the Annika Pro-am on the LPGA Tour at Belleair in Florida. The WNBA star was one of the star attractions for the event, however, her first shot was not something she would be proud of.

Coming face to face with one of her fears in the event, as she earlier mentioned in an interview, Clark almost took out a fan with her tee shot, as highlighted in the video shared by Brentley Romine, a prominent golf writer.

On the second hole, Clark was teeing off with a 3-wood, and unfortunately, she topped the shot, which flew into the crowd that had gathered to witness the WNBA star play golf in the Annika pro-am.

Caitlin Clark was probably nervous as all the attention was on her. However, she looked at the lighter side of things and had a smile on her face while immediately taking a second ball to hit a provisional.

The 22-year-old WNBA star started with a promise as she scored a par on the opening hole. She has been paired with the World No.1 golfer, Nelly Korda, as they play the opening nine in the event.

During the pre-event press conference, Clark revealed that she loved golf and had grown up playing this sport and revealed she is excited to be part of the Annika on the LPGA Tour this week.
