The managing director of ANNIKA Foundation, McGee, shared his excitement about Trump's comeback after his 2020 defeat. He took to X and wrote:

"What a night. A clean sweep. I’m proud to see the American people have had enough. We should be able to get our country back to normal in the next four years. God bless America!"

Ahead of the election, McGee said he was confident of Trump's victory as he wrote::

"Went to bed four years ago feeling equally as confident. Then it happened!!!! Wanted to document these numbers. @LaraLeaTrump and her team have done so well this year I’m very confident."

Donald Trump lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden. Mike McGee also reposted Vivek Ramaswamy's and other political tweets on his X profile.

McGee's wife Annika Sorenstam hasn't shared anything on the ongoing US election. She has played with Donald Trump on several occasions in the past. As per Golf Digest, Trump has reported his handicap of 2.8, however, Sorenstam has called the Former President "a 9 or 10."

LPGA icon Annika Sorenstam defended receiving the presidential medal from Donald Trump

In 2021, LPGA icon Annika Sorenstam was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Donald Trump. The medal is awarded to those with extraordinary contributions to the United States and the world and it is the highest civilian award in the country.

However, several athletes like the New England Patriots' former coach Bill Belichick declined to receive the award from Trump after the Capital Riots. However, that was not the case with Sorenstam. In an interview with Golf Channel, she said (via Irish Times):

"I have always viewed it [the medal] in the context of the people through history who have received it. It started in 1963 and it’s quite the impressive list of people; whether that’s through science, art, entertainment or sport. It’s really about people that make this world a better place."
"I'm not one to second-guess. It [the ceremony] was supposed to be in March 2020. Looking back at it, it’s really about the people who have received it through history. I don’t want to spend energy looking back. I want to spend energy looking forward, continuing to open doors and create opportunities for young girls around the world."

McGee also said that they respected the presidency regardless of who holds the office. Annika Sorenstam has 97 wins in her professional golf career, with 72 on the LPGA Tour. The Swedish golfer has won 10 Majors and became the first international player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame through LPGA.
