Fans have reacted to the finalized list of participants and fields in the 2024 Hero World Challenge. PGA Tour Communications posted the concluding list on social media on Monday, December 2.

The list contains names of 20 popular golfers along with their assigned fields, starting off with Scottie Scheffler. The post attracted a mixture of reactions from fans. While some complimented, others criticised the field at the 2024 Hero World Challenge.

"Scottie is a hero on and off the course lets be real", a fan went on to praise Scheffler.

"Where is Rory ?", another one commented about McIlroy's status.

"No Viktor? We won’t be watching then", someone expressed their disappointment.

"Tony Finau - YOU are off to LIV golf," a fan commented after failing to spot him.

Following this news, NUCLR GOLF posted a speculation regarding Tony Finau's absence from the 2024 Hero World Challenge. They posted an update on X:

"#SPECULATION — Tony Finau has been replaced in the Hero World Challenge field by Sepp Straka, who has been named a tournament exemption. Justin Thomas who was just announced by TW as an exemption takes a regular spot in the field. The timing is interesting as some in LIV circles have linked Finau to possibly being one of the big names jumping ship for 2025. @FinauLegion"

The 2024 Hero World Challenge: Participants, Timings, and about the Event

This upcoming event will be sanctioned by the PGA Tour as usual. They will be arriving in the Bahamas where Tiger Woods will be hosting this challenge. As per the schedule, the 2024 Hero World Challenge will be held at the Albany Golf Club between December 5 and 8.

With an average distance of almost 400 yards between holes, this 18-hole course is quite challenging for the participants. Tiger Woods will not participate as a contestant. However, the lineup in the 2024 Hero World Challenge seems pretty solid.
