This year, we will see 14 LIV Golfers in action at the US Open 2025. The third major of the season is set to commence on Thursday, June 12, at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.
The LIV Golf contingent at the US Open 2025 features several notables like Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, and Bryson DeChambeau. While Rahm, Johnson, and Koepka are former winners here,
DeChambeau will enter this week as the defending champion. Last year, he posted a one-shot win over Rory McIlroy to claim his second victory at the national open. Besides, he became only the second LIV Golf star after Brooks Koepka to win a major championship.
The Oakmont field also features defending US Senior Open champion Richard Bland and reigning US Amateur winner Josele Ballester. Notably, Johnson won the US Open in 2016, the last time the tournament took place at this challenging golf course.
Joaquin Niemann has qualified via LIV Golf points and has become the first-ever player to qualify via the new exemption. Mickelson is a six-time runner-up at the U.S. Open but has never won here. For the uninitiated, this is the only major he needs to complete the career Grand Slam.
Cameron Smith (Ripper) is in the field via his 2022 Open Championship win, while Tyrrell Hatton (Legion XIII) and Patrick Reed (4Aces) have qualified via top 60 rankings in the OWGR.
The field also features Jinichiro Kozuma (Iron Heads), Marc Leishman (Ripper), and Carlos Ortiz (Torque), who have made it to the field via US Open qualifying.
