The third round of the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship was played on Saturday at the three iconic venues of St. Andrews Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns. During the round, Tyrrell Hatton equaled the course record at St. Andrews and moved to the top of the leaderboard.Hatton leads the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at 22 under. Tyrrell Hatton had an extraordinary bogey-free round with an eagle and nine birdies for an 11-under 61. With this performance, he equaled the Old Course at St. Andrews record set by Ross Fisher in 2017 and stood alone at the top of the leaderboard.Speaking to the DP World Tour News Service after his record round at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Hatton said:"That's actually my lowest round on Tour as well. Felt like I was trying harder than I normally would for a putt on the last. Good putt and thankfully it went in. It was a cool day."Hatton's was not the only 61 of the day at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen carded 12 birdies and one bogey at Kingsbarns Golf Links to move up 45 places to T4 at 17 under.Last day's leader and current runner-up Nicolas Colsaerts also put in a spectacular performance on Saturday, October 5, when he carded an albatross on the 16th hole at Kingsbarns Golf Links.The Hattons lead the team competition on 38 under, three shots clear of the team of Thorbjorn Olesen and Irish businessman Dermot Desmond.
