Denny McCarthy's second round in the FedEx St. Jude Championship included nine birdies and two bogeys for a 63. Hideki Matsuyama, meanwhile, carded seven birdies and a bogey for a 64.

Sam Burns also shot a 63 in the second round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship and climbed 11 spots to third. Scottie Scheffler also moved up six places to 4th.

However, the player who made the biggest day-to-day improvement was Viktor Hovland, who carded the third 63 of the day to move up 39 spots. The Norwegian is now tied for seventh.

At the other end of it are Chris Kirk and Xander Schauffele, who dropped three places each. Matthieu Pavon, meanwhile, dropped 22 places to T33.

Tee times for the third round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship have been postponed due to inclement weather forecast for Saturday morning. The round is expected to tee off at 9:45 a.m. ET.
