The first round of the 2024 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship concluded on Friday at Pinnacle Country Club. It is one of the few 54-hole events on the LPGA Tour schedule.

Jasmine Suwannapura leads the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship after an impressive 8-under 63. Five players are one stroke back in second place.

Jasmine Suwannapura carded eight birdies and no bogeys in the first round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. Suwannapura is seeking her third LPGA Tour victory and first since 2019 (Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational).

Defending champion Haeran Ryu carded four birdies and two bogeys for a 2-under total. She finished the first round in a share of 41st place.

Despite playing 54 holes, the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship is expected to make a cut after the second round. The cut line is currently predicted to be 1 under and several top players will be left out of the final round.

They include two-time winner Lauren Coughlin, two-time major champion Lilia Vu, European Solheim Cup star Madelene Sagstrom, and major champion Danielle Kang.
