The previous occasion was the 2023 Puerto Rico Open, where he went on to win the title.Echavarría and Justin Thomas reached the 18th hole tied, but the Colombian eagled it to take a two-shot lead. After his round, he told PGA Tour News Service:"That’s the way you want to finish a round. I had a good tee shot, hit a really good second shot and finished with an eagle. I prefer that than a birdie obviously."Defending ZOZO Championship champion Collin Morikawa dropped 17 spots on the leaderboard after carding a 70 in the third round. Morikawa enters the final day tied for 39th place at 4-under in a group that includes Xander Schauffele and Max Homa, among others.
