Who is leading the 2025 RBC Canadian Open after round 2? Leaderboard explored

Following the conclusion of the second round of the 2025 RBC Canadian Open, a cut line of 3-under par was established. The top 63 players and ties made it through to the weekend.

Cameron Champ bears the lone lead at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open with a total 12-under par score. On Friday, June 6, Andrew Putnam stunned the golf community with his incredible 8-under par 62 score. The score led the American golfer to jump a whopping 41 spots up the leaderboard into the solo second spot with a total 10 under par score.

Four golfers, including first-round leader Thorbjorn Olesen and Nick Taylor, are tied for third place. They all boast a 36-hole score of 9-under par. Shane Lowry posted a 2-under par 68 round to tie for seventh place at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open.

Several big-time golfers, including Eric Cole and Matthieu Pavon, missed the cut at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open. Rory McIlroy, who was the fan favorite to win the event, missed the cut by 12 strokes.

About the author

Lathika is one of the newer additions to Sportskeeda’s budding golf journalism team and has brought plenty of in-game experience to the role. Having been a golfer for over 12 years now, some of her crowning achievements include winning titles on the Indian Golf Union Ladies tour and Junior Girls Amateur tour.
