The Englishman got off to a flying start with four birdies and no bogeys until the 12th, but dropped three shots in just two holes after a double bogey on the 13th and a bogey on the 14th.Colsaerts seized the moment and tied the tournament with a birdie on the 15th. The two went head-to-head over the final three holes until Hatton birdied the 18th with a sensational approach from the front side of the fairway to win the event.After winning the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Tyrrell Hatton had this to say (via DP World Tour News Service):"It feels good. I'm trying not to cry to be honest, I'm a bit lost for words."With his score of 24-under 264, Tyrrell Hatton tied his own aggregate and to par records for the event. It was the same score he posted when he won in 2017.In addition, Hatton tied the record for the Old Course at St. Andrews with an 11-under 61 on Saturday.The team event was won by Thorbjorn Olesen and amateur Dermot Desmond with a score of 48-under. Tyrrell Hatton and his father Jeff finished second, two shots off the lead.
