Who won the 2024 Andalucia Masters? Final leaderboard explored

The Andalucia Masters finished this Sunday, October 20, ata the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. The tournament was decided by a nine-hole playoff between the two players who dominated the leaderboard from start to finish.

Julien Guerrier won the Andalucia Masters after defeating Jorge Campillo in a nine-hole playoff. Both players were tied at 21 under after 72 holes.

It took Julien Guerrier 19 years and 230 starts to win his first tournament on the DP World Tour. The Frenchman carded five birdies, one bogey and one double bogey in the fourth round of the Andalucia Masters to finish on 21 under.

Jorge Campillo, playing in the same group as Guerrier, had a chance to win the Andalucia Masters by scoring even par on the 18th hole. However, he made things difficult by sending his second shot into the greenside bunker, from where he tried to reach the green but failed. He eventually made bogey on the hole and had to encounter a playoff.

Guerrier and Campillo battled for the Andalucia Masters title for another nine holes, a much longer playoff than usual. Both made par on the first eight holes, but while the Frenchman also made par on the ninth, the Spaniard made bogey and lost the match.
