Scottie Scheffler became the third player to successfully defend his title at the event, joining Tiger Woods (2007) and Viktor Hovland (2022).Scheffler won the Hero World Challenge with a score of 25 under, six strokes ahead of runner-up Tom Kim. The previous day leader Justin Thomas slipped to third.Scheffler's paycheck for winning the event was $1 million.
