Who won the 2024 LIV Golf UK? Final leaderboard explored

The 2024 LIV Golf UK concluded on Sunday, July 28th at the JCB Golf and Country Club in Staffordshire, England. It was Jon Rahm who won his first tournament on the circuit and also claimed his first professional victory since the 2023 Masters.

Rahm won the event at 13-under, one stroke ahead of three players tied for second place, including Legion XIII teammate Tyrrell Hatton.

Jon Rahm rallied from three shots down with five birdies and one bogey in the final round at LIV Golf UK. However, the finish was not without suspense as the event almost ended in a playoff.

Rahm missed a 5-foot putt for par on the 17th hole, leaving him tied for the lead with teammate Tyrrell Hatton. However, it was Hatton who then missed a 5-foot putt for par on the next hole to give the Spaniard the win.

Jon Rahm has nine top-10 finishes in as many events during the 2024 LIV Golf season. But he had gone 15 months without winning on the professional tours, with his last victory coming in April 2023 (the Masters).

The season's individual leader, Joaquin Niemann, played the third round of the LIV Golf UK with seven birdies and one bogey (6 under) and was also on the verge of forcing a playoff. He finished in a tie for second place at 12 under.

Jon Rahm had a double celebration as his team, Legion XIII, also won the team event at LIV Golf UK. Legion XIII finished at 26 under, three shots ahead of Ripper GC and six shots ahead of Crushers GC and Smash GC.
