Home hero Celine Boutier has taken the lead in the women's golf event at the 2024 Paris Olympics after Round 1. Being played at Le Golf National, the first day has seen big crowds come out in support of the golfers.
South African golfer Ashleigh Buhai is in sole second place after Round 1. Le Golf National has proved to be a difficult course so far, with only 12 golfers managing to stay under par.
Defending champion Nelly Korda finished her campaign with a par score, sitting in T13 after the end of Round 1. There is no cutline in golf at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and all 60 golfers will play all four rounds.
For the second round of the event, there are several groups to watch out for, including Celine Boutier, Lilia Vu, and Amy Yang (3.55 am ET) - all of whom are currently in the top 15 on the leaderboard.
