World No.1 amateur female golfer Rose Zhang won the Augusta National Women's Amateur title on Saturday, April 1. The American golfer defeated Jenny Bae in the playoff to clinch the trophy.

The 19-year-old California native earned the title on the second hole of the playoff after carding a par-4. Bae, on the other hand, made a par-5.

Both golfers finished in a tie at a score of under 9 and competed in the playoff for the title. They made a par-4 on the first hole of playoff. On the second and decisive hole, Zhang bested Bae and lifted the trophy of the Augusta National Women's Amateur.

Zhang started the final round on Saturday morning with a five-stroke lead. Having started with a double bogey, gave Jenny Bae the perfect advantage to get back in the game. However, Rose quickly birdied the second hole to turn the table in her favor. While Bae started with a birdie on the second hole, she made a double bogey on the third.

The game seemingly slipped out of Zhang's hand when she sank three bogeys on the fourth, fifth, and seventh holes. As she struggled to earn the title, Jenny Bae finished 4-over-par 70, to make it to the playoffs.

Zhang managed to take the lead on the 14th hole but with a birdie on the penultimate hole, Bae tied it with her with a scoring deficit of nine.

The Augusta National Women's Amateur tournament came to an end with Rose Zhang registering her victory.
