Britney Spears intervention reports have been making rounds as her close friends and family are reportedly worried about the singer’s health. There have been reports that Toxic singer’s erratic and volatile behavior has been a cause of concern for her closest circle over her overall well-being.

In this article, we will provide you with insights into Britney Spears' intervention and substance abuse.

Britney Spears Intervention Reports

Britney Spears' intervention came in light of the changing behavior of the actress. According to several publications, the singer has stopped taking her mood stabilization medication and has been regularly consuming medicines that hype her up and "fly off the handle."

According to TMZ, a source close to Britney was even worried that she might die due to escalating mental health and substance issues. That is why the closest family and friends tried to stage Britney Spears' intervention.

Last month, it was also reported that Britney had a ‘manic’ episode in the restaurant as she was blabbering incoherently.

However, earlier today, reports of Britney Spears' intervention were slammed by the singer herself with an Instagram post. She said that people should not be allowed to concoct such stories legally and at one point they should just stop.

Spears added that there are many people who wish her harm while she is just trying to lead a happy life. She might even need to stop posting on Instagram because of such people. She further quoted her now husband saying that people should not believe everything that they read.

Sam Asghari further issued a statement on Britney Spears' intervention:

“My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances. Speculation about her health is inappropriate and should end immediately.”

Several publications pointed out that Britney Spears became somewhat aware of the intervention plan and thus it was scrapped.

Britney Spears Substance Abuse

Prior to her conservatorship, Britney Spears struggled with substance abuse, which was one of the reasons she was placed under this restraint. It was reported that throughout her conservatorship, she was on a lot of drugs to treat her mental illness. Recent reports also show that the Toxic singer has been consuming medicines that hyper her up.

Substance abuse can be understood as using drugs or medicines in amounts that can be dangerous and for purposes other than those that are prescribed.

Mental health problems can also be at the root of addiction. It is extremely important to seek treatment in case one is dealing with mental illness or substance abuse, otherwise if left untreated, it can negatively impact both personal and professional life.

Britney Spears' substance abuse and mental illness were contributing factors to why she was placed in conservatorship in 2008. After 13 years of conservatorship, Britney Spears gained her independence back after a long court battle. Her fans supported the singer throughout the battle.
