Deonna Purrazzo has faced some of the greatest IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champions to ever step foot in the company. Rosemary, Taya Valkyrie, Jordynne Grace, Su Yung, and Havok have all fallen to the painful Venus Demilo submission.
Yet, the perfect contender who could improve Purrazzo's standing as the best Knockouts Champion is Taylor Wilde. Wilde recently returned to IMPACT Wrestling and made it clear from the getgo that she was here for one thing only: championship gold.
Wilde is popular for dethroning the legendary Awesome Kong back in the day, so someone of her caliber would be worthy of Deonna Purrazzo's time. Not just that, but if Purrazzo beat hers, she could add another former Knockouts Champion to her list of vanquished opponents.
However, there is one name that fans may want more, and for good reason.
#1 Deonna Purrazzo could come face-to-face with Chelsea Green
That's right, former WWE Superstar Chelsea Green. Sorry, former Knockouts Champion Laurel Van Ness. Green won the championship by defeating Rosemary in a Knockouts Championship tournament in 2017. Unfortunately, she hadn't told the company she was about to leave for WWE. She fulfilled some extra dates, dropping the championship a month later.
Green's stock right now is sky high as she's one of the most sought after competitors who got released this year. A Grade-A free agent and someone that has history with the title, Green would be the ideal choice for Deonna Purrazzo.
As the "Hot Mess" Van Ness, Green was poised to become a major player for the company. Poor timing put a stop to that, but now Green could make up for that and more. If Green indeed challenges Purrazzo at Slammiversary next week, IMPACT Wrestling will have hit a home run.
Not only will she be a welcome surprise and a major threat to Deonna Purrazzo, Chelsea Green will also a great fit for the Knockouts division. It doesn't hurt that her fiance Matt Cardona also works with IMPACT Wrestling currently.
