Former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Rich Swann has experienced arguably the greatest twelve months of his professional wrestling career.
After recovering from a career-threatening leg injury, Swann was involved in a captivating rivalry with Eric Young, leading to the 30-year-old winning his first IMPACT World Championship at Bound For Glory.
Swann was also involved in historic matches such as an IMPACT World Championship unification match against Moose and a Title vs Title match against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.
Sportskeeda Wrestling's Riju Dasgupta recently interviewed former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Rich Swann.

#5 Rich Swann shares his opinion on current IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Christian Cage
AEW star Christian Cage has had one of the most remarkable comebacks in recent history in 2021.
After returning in the WWE 2021 Men's Royal Rumble match earlier this year, Cage shocked the wrestling world when he signed with All Elite Wrestling in March.
Cage's incredible comeback continued when he defeated Kenny Omega for the IMPACT World Championship on the debut edition of AEW Rampage last month. This has led to a return to IMPACT Wrestling, where the former WWE Superstar was once a World Champion earlier in his career.
When asked on his thoughts about the current IMPACT World Champion, Rich Swann praised Christian Cage for his drive and determination to continue to prove himself as one of the best:
"You know, i think Christian Cage has always been great. This isn't the first time he's come to IMPACT. Of course, everybody knows, years ago he left the other place to come and prove to the world that he was World Championship worthy. And, he's done it again. He's got himself in amazing shape, he's not just somebody that's coming in just to get the spotlight, he's somebody that's coming in and ready to go."

When asked why fans should sign up to IMPACT Plus, Rich Swann explained it allows viewers who may not be able to access AXS TV the ability to watch some of the best professional wrestling in the world:
"Because, some people they say 'it's hard to watch IMPACT. It's hard to get IMPACT on their television stations or on their cable providers networks, or dish or whatever'. So, this is just another option for people to access IMPACT Wrestling. Then when you exercise that, you will see some of the greatest action, some of the best wrestling. Because that's what this is, this is a great wrestling company. Then with the Forbidden Door, you never know who's going to show up so you don't want to miss it."
#3 Rich Swann wants to face The Young Bucks and The Lucha Brothers at IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory
Last year, Rich Swann main-evented Bound For Glory, defeating Eric Young to capture the IMPACT World Championship for the first time in his career.
Fast forward twelve months and the discussions about who Swann could face this year are already being discussed.
When asked who he would like to face this year at IMPACT Wrestling's biggest event, Swann admitted he would like to see the 'Forbidden Door' open once again:
"I'd love, and this is just something that would be crazy if Willie Mack and myself got to get in there with The Young Bucks or The Lucha Brothers, or both. I think that would be something that would tear the tag world up! You know what I'm saying?"
#2 Rich Swann wants to face Braun Strowman in IMPACT Wrestling
IMPACT Wrestling has picked up some major free agent signings in the past twelve months, as well as utilizing the 'Forbidden Door' with promotions such as AEW, NJPW and AAA.
When asked which names he would like to face from other companies in IMPACT Wrestling, Swann named three top wrestlers. One such name was former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman:
"Braun Strowman. I know that man has gone through so much in this business in such a little time. He's got so much pressure on him because of his size. You know how it is in the wrestling business. You want people to just reach to the highest that they can ever get to. And sometimes when he first started he was looked at somebody who was super green, which he was, and somebody who 'he'll never get it.' And i remember for almost six months straight, i watched this man and Roman Reigns go out there and put on masterpieces. I feel like that was really what helped him to get to level that where he needed to be in-ring. He's somebody that has all the tools. There's no denying it. He can go out there and put on a match, he can entertain you and he's huge!"
#1 Rich Swann wants to wrestle "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt in IMPACT Wrestling
In addition to Braun Strowman, Rich Swann named another former WWE Universal Champion that he would like to see in IMPACT Wrestling, Bray Wyatt.
Swann even floated the idea of "The Fiend" teaming up with the "Undead Bride" Su Yung and taking over IMPACT Wrestling:
"The last person. Everybody's favorite. One of the most captivating characters ever. The Fiend, Bray Wyatt. I'd love to see Windham in IMPACT. That would be awesome. There's not even much i can say about that. Hey, what if The Demon, and the undead bride, just took control of IMPACT? I'm sorry, not The Demon, The Fiend. I associate The Fiend with Alexa [Bliss] now so I'm like, "Ah, but now I can't call him The Demon either because that's good Prince Devitt."
