Bayern Munich celebrates victory and greets India through a Facebook post in Hindi!

Bayern Munich players never fail to acknowledge their fans’ contribution after each match

Bayern Munich, the Bavarian giants, are exhibiting a brilliant run of form this season which has helped them stay atop the Bundesliga table and also in qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a game in hand.

The German champions after their most recent win against Olympiakos in the Champions League on Tuesday night, posted a picture on their facebook page, conveying the message that they achieved the targets they had set for themselves before the match. The important thing to point out here is that the message was in Hindi, and the caption on the post was “Suprabhaat India”(meaning ‘Good Morning’)!

The three specific targets being victory, sealing top spot in the group and to qualify for the CL knockout stages for the eighth year running, respectively. They did tick all the boxes as they thumped the Greek outfit 4-0 at the Allianz Arena.

The Bayern fans in India were pleasantly surprised by the picture and openly conveyed their happiness towards the post. Some fans even went on to say that this was the best ever post from Bayern Munich’s facebook handle.

The Bavarian giants were 3-0 ahead after just 20 minutes into the match with the help of goals from Douglas Costa, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller who astonishingly became the youngest player to have played in 50 Champions League victories, breaking Messi’s record by over a year, and almost a couple of years before Cristiano Ronaldo.

Holger Badstuber was sent off in the early stages of the second half, but the German club managed to score another goal through Kingsley Coman and also held on to earn a clean sheet.

After the refreshing gesture from the club, football fans in India will hope that more and more clubs walk on the same path, which can help the clubs increase their fan base, along with allowing more and more people in India to get involved in the “Beautiful game”.
