The Kolkata Derby in the Calcutta Football League, which is supposed to be held on February 23, has been postponed till April as both the teams are quite reluctant to play without some of their important players, who have already gone for national duty. In addition to this game, some other matches, including Prayag United’s match against East Bengal and Mohun Bagan have also been postponed because of the same reason.

As a result, according to the new fixtures, all the league matches, apart from East Bengal, Mohun Bagan and Prayag United, will be played in February and March. East Bengal will have to play Mohammedan Sporting on February 23. Mohammedan Sporting will face Prayag United and Mohun Bagan on February 19 and March 2 respectively.

After talking with the club officials, IFA Secretary Mr. Utpal Ganguly said that AIFF is not going to release any player from the national camp and also, because of some problems with the Santosh Trophy, they have postponed all the big matches, including the Derby in April.

After some people criticized Mohun Bagan’s decision on ticket prices, Mr. Ganguly said that they will keep the price of tickets moderate and within people’s reach.
