FIFA to make documentary on East Bengal

East BengalThe FIFA Futbal Mundial, it is learnt, have approached Kolkata giants East Bengal, in order to shoot a documentary.

The FIFA Futbal Mundial is a football-related magazine show produced in association with FIFA. The show produces some exquisite documentaries covering niche topics from the world of football.

Most recently, they shot a video on Kolkata giants East Bengal on the 29th of October 2017 and featured all the players from the 'East Bengal Football School of Excellence', who were summoned exclusively for the shoot.

This will be the second time that FIFA Football Mundial is going to make a documentary on an Indian club, after already having created on on Shillong Lajong, four years back.

East Bengal Football Club is a professional football club that competes in the I-League and is based out of Kolkata. Having won three National Football League, eight Federation Cups, theyhave been one of the biggest clubs in India, with a rich and long history.

The 'Red-and-Golds', as they are popularly called, have formed a fierce rivalry with Mohun Baga, with whom they share the iconic Salt Lake Stadium, where England recently lifted the FIFA U17 World Cup, after defeating Spain in the final.

Not only has the club excelled at the international level, the achievements at the domestic level is not something that can be written off. East Bengal F.C are the 39-time winners of the Calcutta Football League and have also won the IFA Shield 28 times.

With a lot of achievements in the sport, the documentary would be a huge step forward for the football club and its supporters as a whole.

For a long time now, FIFA TV has produced some quality videos on its official page and YouTube channel as well and the documentary could serve as a huge boost for the entire team.
