Hyderabad FC came from behind to register a 3-1 win against ATK Mohun Bagan in the first leg of their ISL 2021-22 semi-final.

Roy Krishna put the Mariners ahead from Liston Colaco's cross midway through the first half. The Nizams, who created close to nothing significant, somehow got themselves level through a well-placed Bartholomew Ogbeche header in stoppage-time.

The goal right before the break gave Hyderabad FC added impetus as they started the second half well. A defensive mix-up from ATK Mohun Bagan allowed Mohammad Yasir to bend a finish into the back of the net. Yasir then turned provider with a pinpoint corner that was converted by Javier Siverio six minutes later.

The win gives the Nizams a two-goal cushion heading into the second leg on March 16.

Here are the player ratings from the game:

Hyderabad FC

Laxmikant Kattimani - 7/10

Kattimani made four big saves to keep ATK Mohun Bagan at bay but could do nothing about their goal.

Akash Mishra - 6.5/10

Mishra didn't have a great first half, which was largely defined by his failure to mark Krishna for ATK Mohun Bagan's goal. But he put up an improved defensive display in the second half. He made four interceptions, four clearances, and two tackles while also winning four duels and completing 87% of his passes.

Juan Fernandez - 7/10

In addition to putting in a good shift defensively, Juanan also got the assist for Ogbeche's goal with a smart chipped cross from a corner.

Chinglensana Singh - 6.5/10

Chinglensana Singh made a game-high six clearances and helped Hyderabad FC weather the late storm as ATK Mohun Bagan pushed forward.

Nim Dorjee Tamang - 6.5/10

Tamang initially struggled against Colaco's dribbling and movement and let him in a little too easily for the Mariners' goal. However, he recovered well from that and was particularly good while defending counterattacks by closing down passing lanes.

Joao Victor - 6.5/10

Victor was quietly efficient in defensive midfield and sprayed the ball around well. He also won two duels and made a tackle.

Souvik Chakraborty - 6.5/10

Chakraborty was given more license to move forward with Victor sitting deep. While he sent a couple of decent balls into the final third, most of his contributions were still in defensive areas. He managed a tackle, a block and an interception.

Aniket Jadhav - 6/10

Jadhav contributed very little for Hyderabad FC in the first half but grew into the game after his side's second goal.

Javier Siverio - 7/10

Siverio was involved in his side's second goal and then scored with an excellent header from a corner to make it 3-1. He also made a couple of good runs in behind the ATK Mohun Bagan defense.

Mohammad Yasir - 8/10

Yasir was yet another Hyderabad FC player who didn't enjoy a very good first half. However, he took his goal brilliantly with a first-time left-footed finish that nestled into the bottom corner. He also sent in a good corner for Siverio to extend the Nizams' lead.

Bartholomew Ogbeche - 7.5/10

Ogbeche's goal proved to be crucial in the grand scheme of things as his stoppage-time header in the first half set the wheels in motion for his side. He worked extremely hard, recording one key pass, winning three fouls and making an interception.

Substitutes

Halicharan Narzary - 6/10

Narzary replaced Jadhav in the 79th minute. He had just six touches of the ball with Hyderabad FC on the backfoot.

Sahil Tavora - 6/10

Tavora came on for Chakraborty in the 79th minute. He made a clearance and a crucial block to help his side see out the win.

Khassa Camara - 6/10

Camara replaced Siverio in the 83rd minute. He added more physicality to the midfield with ATK Mohun Bagan in the ascendancy.

Aaren D'Silva - N/A

D'Silva came on for Yasir in the 90th minute and delivered one weak cross from a promising position.

ATK Mohun Bagan

Amrinder Singh - 6/10

Amrinder Singh was helpless against all three Hyderabad FC goals and didn't have a single save to make otherwise.

Subhasish Bose - 6/10

Bose constantly looked to join the ATK Mohun Bagan attack but didn't bring enough quality, completing no crosses and just two out of his six long balls. He did well defensively, making two clearances, an interception and a tackle.

Jose Arroyo - 6/10

Tiri looked solid yet again and was also a good outlet for ATK Mohun Bagan, completing nine of his 17 long balls. However, he and Jhingan failed to communicate for Yasir's goal in a move that also forced him off the pitch with an injury.

Sandesh Jhingan - 6/10

Jhingan put in a good shift, making four clearances and a team-high five interceptions while also completing six of his eight long-ball attempts. However, he lost Ogbeche for Hyderabad FC's equalizer and should have communicated better with Tiri for their second goal.

Pritam Kotal - 6.5/10

Kotal should have done better to mark Siverio for the latter's goal but let him get a header away too easily. He did a good job in defense otherwise, recording two blocks, two interceptions and two tackles.

Deepak Tangri - 6/10

Tangri ensured his side kept a compact shape, keeping Hyderabad FC at arm's length for much of the first half alongside Rodrigues. His impact waned in the second half, barring one dangerous cross.

Lenny Rodrigues - 6/10

Rodrigues kept things moving in midfield for ATK Mohun Bagan, completing 87% of his passes. He also had a shot on target and made two interceptions. The midfielder did have one nervy moment when he gave the ball to Victor in his own half but nothing came of it in the end.

Liston Colaco - 7/10

Colaco's dazzling footwork was on display again as he pulled off two stepovers to assist Krishna's goal. He also forced a couple of good saves from Kattimani but faded away in the closing moments with ATK Mohun Bagan chasing a goal.

Joni Kauko - 6/10

Kauko didn't have the kind of impact fans have been accustomed to this season, though he still managed two key passes and pulled off some audacious passes.

Roy Krishna - 7.5/10

Krishna took his goal extremely well, ghosting in behind Mishra to tap in Colaco's cross. He was a menace to Hyderabad FC and linked play well with some intricate touches. The Fijian recorded a key pass, two tackles, two clearances and four successful ground duels.

David Williams - 6/10

Williams didn't look his usual sharp self and struggled to really trouble Hyderabad FC's defense barring a couple of key passes.

Substitutes

Carl McHugh - 6/10

McHugh came on for Rodrigues in the 53rd minute. He did a decent job as a makeshift centre-back, winning two aerial duels.

Manvir Singh - 6/10

Manvir Singh replaced David Williams in the 54th minute. He failed to reach Prabir Das' cross by the barest of margins and sent in a dangerous cross that Nassiri turned onto the post.

Hugo Boumous - 6.5/10

Boumous came on for Arroyo in the 62nd minute. He proved to be an excellent attacking outlet for his side, managing two key passes.

Prabir Das - 6/10

Das replaced Jhingan in the 81st minute. He sent in one fantastic cross that evaded Manvir Singh by inches while also making two tackles and an interception.

Kiyan Nassiri - 6/10

Nassiri came on for Tangri in the 81st minute. He hit the woodwork from close range with a good effort.
