FC Goa travel to take on Bengaluru FC in their fourth ISL match of the season at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday (October 25).

The Gaurs have won all three of the games that they have played so far, with decisive victories over Punjab FC, Odisha FC and East Bengal.

The last match was played at a neutral venue after Kolkata police said that they could not provide security at the Salt Lake Stadium owing to the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup matches being held at the Eden Gardens in the city.

Goa will hope that they can continue in the same vein of form, but breaking Bengaluru's defence down will not be easy by any means.

Speaking to the media ahead of the game, head coach Manolo Marquez spoke of how important it was to continue with the momentum.

"In terms of results, this cannot be better. The team seems to be playing better when we are losing, when we are under pressure, and there seems to be a need to show that we can play good football. We have enough quality to avoid such situations," said Marquez.
"East Bengal adapted better than us in the first half but the team controlled the game very well. In terms of chances and overall (performance), we deserved to win. In the second half, we played very good (football), and obviously, to score two goals in two minutes for the opponents is very tough," added Marquez, talking about the win over East Bengal.

"Bengaluru will be another very good opponent" - says Manolo Marquez ahead of clash with Bengaluru FC

As Goa prepares to take on Bengaluru on Wednesday, the nature of the conversation veers quite naturally towards the event. The Blues are ninth in the league table at the moment with just one win under their belt, against East Bengal.

"The league is a tough competition and Bengaluru will be another good opponent. They have the same coach, good results, but even at the cost of being repetitive, I would say every game is tough," said Marquez.
"After we won, look at the next two games: both draws and all four teams had chances of winning. It’s very close. Many games have been decided by just one goal," he added.

Goa will be without the services of Noah Sadoui and Brandon Fernandes for this game, with the dynamic duo being ruled out with injuries.
