Day 2 of the ongoing U18 Youth League saw a minuscule amount of goals being scored. The teams found the net only five times across four games today. The country's top talents are on the race for supremacy in Shillong.

MATCH 1: FC Goa 0-0 Ozone FC Bengaluru
The young Gaurs were held by the Bengaluru-based side in today's first game at the MFA Turf in Shillong. The Gaurs got off to a flying start with chances at the premium but failed to convert them into goals. Ozone FC Bengaluru slowly clawed back into the game after an hour of FC Goa dominance.
They strung a few passes and set themselves on goal, but the attempts were saved on each occasion by Princeton Rebello. Manvir Singh came close to scoring in last moment but his shot was off target as the two sides shared the points.
MATCH 2: East Bengal 2-0 SAI Thiruvananthapuram
The runners-up of the league were up to a flying start to the National Finals today. East Bengal dominated the proceedings for large parts of the game as they got the better of SAI Thiruvananthapuram by a 2-0 win.
Jhantu Prasad gave East Bengal the lead in the 27th minute. The Kolkata based side kept piling on pressure, and doubled the lead late in the second half. Telem Suranjit Singh put the ball past a hapless Muhammed Inayath to make it 2-0. East Bengal sit atop their group.
MATCH 3 : Minerva Punjab 1-1 FC Pune City
Minerva Punjab were held 1-1 by FC Pune City in the first afternoon game today. The game was filled with tempers and chaos, as the FC Pune City gaffer stayed on the pitch even after being sent off. This caused a lot of confusion on the pitch and play was held up in the first half for more than twenty minutes.
Jakob Vanlalhimpuia scored for the Stallions within six minutes from kick-off in the first half. Luntinmang Haokip restored parity for Minerva Punjab in the 25th minute. Tackles and challenges came flying from both sides as the referee had to show five yellow cards. Minerva defender Anwar Ali was also sent off for an altercation at the 79th minute.
MATCH 4: Shillong Lajong 1-0 Aizawl FC
Shillong Lajong used their home advantage to their benefit as they edged past their rivals in the hills with a slender well fought 1-0 win.
The game was largely a cagey affair with no teams dominating. Shillong Lajong drew first blood through Kynsailong Khongsit in the 58th minute. The Reds from Aizawl committed almost half of their side upfront in a hope to get back on level terms but failed to do so. Lajong registered a narrow win and are atop their group.
