Sophia Floersch, who saw her stint in INDY NXT come to an abrupt end, joined the Algarve Pro Racing team (APR) earlier in May. The Portuguese outfit is set to compete with two cars in the 2025 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although the name of the Grunwald native is not on the official entrant list submitted to the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) by her team, she is set to participate in the final testing ahead of the main race, slated for June 8.

The 2025 edition of the endurance race is scheduled to take place between Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15.

Sophia Floersch, who joined the APRacing team following her uneventful stint with HMD Motorsports in Indy NXT, recently tested the team’s LMP2 challenger in a two-day testing event at the Four Hours of Le Castellet during the second round of the European Le Mans Series. The former Formula 3 driver is now set to drive the team’s machinery again in the upcoming testing for the iconic Le Mans racing spectacle.

Floersch’s previous three entries in the gruelling endurance racing event saw her race twice in an all-female racing team lineup—in 2020 and 2021. Her outing with the Richard Mille Racing Team in 2020 remains her best result at the event so far, as she clinched a top-10 finish in the LMP2 class alongside Beitske Visser and Tatiana Calderon.
