The very first ball of the innings produced a run out and it felt as though Berlin CC were on course for a fine defense. But, as the innings progressed, the hard hitting and tremendous stroke-play by both Smith James and Sathiskannan Kandasamy just took the game away from the bowling side!

Neither batter was able to get to his fifty but both went at a strike rate of well over 190 to almost seal the deal for their side. It was a pity that both got out before the winning runs were hit but their partnership of 74 runs off 30 balls got the job done early.

Awais Zafar was the pick of the bowlers for Berlin CC but his decision not to bowl after the first over and come on only until the seventh over proved costly.

While ACB start off with a comfortable win here, Berlin CC have a lot of work to do in order to register points on the board.
