Riding on a sensational knock of 53 off a mere 13 deliveries by Dilawar Khan, the Badalona Shaheen managed to chase down a steep 144 in the final over of the match. Babar Khan was dismissed very first ball of the run-chase but Bilawal Khan kept the required rate in check with some lusty blows in the powerplay. He scored a quickfire 32 off just 12 deliveries to set the tone for the run-chase.

Badalona Shaheen kept losing wickets at regular intervals but it was Dilawar Khan who turned the game on it’s head with some incredible hitting. He looked at his murderous best, smashing sixes for fun. It was power-hitting of the very highest order. He smashed 8 gigantic sixes during his 13 ball innings which helped Badalona Shaheen make light work of the run-chase.

The wicket of Dilawar Khan and Sami Ur Rehman again tilted the game in favor of Trinitat Royal Stars but Adeel Abbas came out with serious intent to make the equation easier. However, two quick wickets in the final over again turned the match on it’s head but Adeel Abbas held his nerves and got his side over the finishing line with just a wicket in hand.

Earlier, Trinitat Royal Stars won the toss and had no hesitation in batting first. Sufian Ansar and Hashim Mir Ali began nicely, scoring freely in the powerplay. Mir Ali in particular looked in great touch from the outset and took on the bowlers from the outset. He kept finding the boundaries on a consistent basis as the Royal Stars raced off to 49/0 in the powerplay.

The Badalona Shaheen bowlers made a great comeback post the powerplay, as they took a cluster of wickets to peg the Royals back. Mir Ali made a quickfire 35 off 11 deliveries. However, the run rate never went down as despite losing wickets, everyone was ready to throw their hands at everything and fortunes favored the batting team.

Aqeel Ansar and Mohsin Raza provided some much-needed late impetus which helped the Trinitat Royals to post a huge 143 on the board in their allotted 10 overs. Aqeel Ansar ended with a quickfire 33 off 11 deliveries and was run out on the final delivery of the innings, For Badalona Shaheen, Jahangir Hassan, and Farrukh Sohail were the pick of the bowlers, bagging a couple each.
