Well, that was simply unbelievable. From 71/2 at one stage, the Spartans collapsed to 87/10 and all because every batter that came out wanted to hit glory shots after glory shots without much substance.

The pitch wasn't the easiest to bat on and Asif and Fatmi gave them a great start at the top of the order against the pacers in the powerplay. Madanagopal picked up two wickets back-to-back but Shazaib Khan then came in and tonked a few sixes to put his team back into the driving seat.

Muhammad Oweis came as a pigeon among the cats. There was something about his loopy leg-breaks that put off the Spartans who kept on trying to hit him over mid-wicket against the turn. Shazaib and four others in the lower order fell that way. From a run-a-ball situation they lost the plot completely.

Anand took another wicket between Oweis' fifer before Ulhaq ran himself out on the penultimate ball of Oweis' spell to put the final nail in the coffin.

Unbelievable scenes in Krefeld! The last seven wickets have fallen for just nine runs! Out of absolutely nowhere, VFB Gelsenkirchen have snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. One of the most incredible passages of play we've seen in a long, long time. Wow!

Five for Oweis! Sheer magnificence from the tweaker! He has single-handedly dismantled this Spartans lineup and has put his side on the verge of an incredible win here.
