Bengal beat Bihar by an innings and 204 runs, pocket seven points.

A tenth wicket in the match for Mukesh Kumar led Bengal's charge on the third morning as they took little time in routing Bihar for 112 to clinch victory by an innings and 204 runs. Mukesh's 6/32 was backed up by Suraj Jaiswal's 4/34 as the duo ran through the visitors' batting lineup without breaking a sweat. While Bengal's campaign comes to an end, the win was a fitting way to sign off from the sport for skipper Manoj Tiwary. That Bihar combined for 207 runs across their two innings - seven more than Abhimanyu Easwaran's unbeaten 200 for Bengal - sums up why they were never in the contest!

Stumps on Day 2 - Bihar 32/1, trail Bengal by 284 runs in the 1st innings.

Skipper Manoj Tiwary managed just 30 runs in what was his final outing for Bengal in first-class cricket but Abhimanyu Easwaran's unbeaten 200 powered the hosts to a total of 411/5 in their first innings. The rest of the batters all got starts although Abhishek Porel (56) was the only one to convert it to a fifty. Having declared the innings, Bengal took two deliveries to strike thanks to Mukesh Kumar and a massive win looks to be well on the cards tomorrow.

Sheer dominance by Bengal as they routed Bihar for 95 in the first innings at the Eden Gardens having won the toss. Mukesh Kumar, who was released from the Test team for this game, was the star with 4/18 off 14 overs while Suraj Jaiswal bagged four of his own. Abhimanyu Easwaran is unbeaten on 48 now with Bengal having entered the lead and the hosts will look to bat just once and shut the door on the visitors.
