Commentary

Berlin CC steal a win against USC Magdeburg!

An anti-climactic end to this game! What a game have we witnessed here in Dresden! Sahil Lal has won it for Berlin CC! You can only find such action in the ECS T10 League and we have witnessed one for the ages! Despite being set a modest target of 42 in five overs, Berlin CC were pegged by Sahil Sethi with a couple of big wickets in the first over itself. They struggled to get going as USCM kept the pressure on as they fought off rain as well.

However, Berlin CC was able to stay in touch with the scoring rate with a couple of boundaries off the bat of Abhilash Anantharaman and Saddam Gill but at the half-way mark, it was all USCM! With 16 runs to be scored off the final over, Berlin CC had a hero to save them today as Sahil Lal smashed as many as four boundaries including a six off the final ball to take them over the line. Tough luck for USCM, who looked like sealing a big win in this fixture but it wasn't meant to be!

In the end, Berlin CC snuck past the minnows with a brilliant knock from Sahil to go top of the table in the ECS T10 Dresden League Week 2. However, USCM will have another go at Berlin CC with the second encounter set to start in about 10 minutes. But that's it from this fixture.
