Richard Levi (Player of the match) - Had some really nice breakfast today, worked today and will try it again tomorrow. It has been an amazing experience, if I can bat like this everytime, I will keep coming back. The hospitality has been amazing and we have been taken care of really well.

Herschelle Gibbs (Red Carpet Delhi captain): I won't say that we had it easy, but then, we assessed the conditions pretty well up front, considering that it is a day game. It is a high-scoring venue, that is for sure, so, something in excess of 250 will always be on the cards!

Munaf Patel (Chhattisgarh Warriors captain): After the first 10 overs, the next 5 overs went for way too many runs. 225 I thought would have been a target to chase down. Bowling needs to improve, and I'm sure it will as the matches progress. This wicket will help the batters any way.

There are batter-friendly pitches and then there are pitches like this where even a total of 255 did not feel safe for the defending team who managed to get home by just 22 runs, a margin they would have not expected at the halfway mark.

Chasing a total of 256, Chhattisgarh Warriors lost Jatin Saxena in the very first over. But then, the chase was kicked off with 4 boundaries in 4 deliveries by Gurkeerat Mann who fell after scoring 25 runs. It was Naman Ojha who then combined with Saurabh Tiwary and played some big hits specially the former who smoked 78 off just 30 deliveries. He was removed by Bipul Sharma who also accounted for two more wickets and broke the back of the chase.

Saurabh Tiwary had held one end up and was the only hope remaining for the Chhattisgarh Warriors as he completed his fifty in the 15th over and shifted gears against Ashley Nurse. But Samiullah Beigh returned and removed Saurabh Tiwary who scored 70 off 36 deliveries. Samiullah got 2 more wickets in the same over and all but sealed the match for his team. Shadab Jakati entertained with a 41 towards the end and took the match to the last over where he was dismissed by Ashley Nurse.

The real action, although, took place in the first innings when Richard Levi hit a scintillating 133 off just 52 deliveries. On his way to the first century of this season, he hit 15 maximums in his innings and it almost looked like he was having a net out in the center. before he was dismissed by Amit Mishra who got 2 wickets for the Chhattisgarh Warriors. Also, skipper Gibbs provided Levi good company in the powerplay and scored 30 himself. Some late-order hitting from Perera (38* off 14) and, Nurse and Gunaratne swelled thew total to 255.
