Cluj were always going to be up against it against this Ireland-based side. CIYMS hardly put a foot wrong - they latched on to every single catching opportunity that came their way, changed their bowlers up to great effect for most of the innings, and were able to keep a chokehold on the Cluj batters by picking up wickets at regular intervals.

Allen Coulter struck twice in the second over after Saini teed off against McCullough's left-arm spin. CIYMS kept rotating their bowlers more often than not, and they kept delivering Cian Nulty sprayed the ball a bit to start, but recovered well, going for only 12 in his first. With Ariyan Mohammed and Janitha Fernando out there, Cluj had a ray of hope, but once the partnership was broken, the game was done.
