After posting 99/5, UCB were always ahead but Ghulam Abbas gave the perfect start to the defense by dismissing Usama Muhammad. Satyadeep Ashwathnarayana and Shiekh Rasik tried to build a partnership for Cobra CC but the former was sent back by Ajith Sreedharakurup. Ajith found more success when he got rid of the opponent skipper Rasik courtesy a stunning catch from the keeper Izharullah Kokihil. Hafeez Ullah didn't last long too as he was run-out while looking to steal a second run. From there on, Cobra CC went nowhere even though Jobi Sehgal finished unbeaten on 19!
