Colombo Kings 173/4 (20 ov)
Jaffna Stallions 167/6 (20 ov)
Kings won by 6 runs
Player of the match: Laurie Evans
With this win, Colombo Kings go second on the points table. A good match that had everyone engaged till the last ball.

Jaffna Stallions won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first Colombo Kings started slowly as they were 53/2 in 8.4 overs. But then Kings opener Laurie Evans played a special knock. He kept ticking runs from one end and then started to go for big shots. He got good support from the other end in form of Angelo Mathews. Evans eventually completed his second T20 hundred and LPL 2020's first century. Thanks to his knock Kings posted a total of 173/4 in 20 overs.

Jaffna Stallions never got hold of the chase as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Charith Asalanka was the highest scorer for the Stallions as he made 32 from 27 balls. There were a few 20s but with wickets tumbling they never got hold of the chase. Andre Russell could not do much with the bat but he bowled a match-winning spell of 3/46. There were few fireworks at the end but the Stallions fell six runs short.

Jaffna Stallions skipper Thisara Perera: Happy with the bowling unit. With our batting, 173 should be chaseable. Little worried about the batting lineup. The good news is that all our players are fit for semi-finals.

Colombo Kings skipper Angelo Mathews:  Laurie batted brilliantly his assessment of the conditions was good. The pitch was slow. We have played good cricket in the tournament, except for a few matches. Today we turned up with a great attitude.

Laurie Evans is the Player of the Match for hitting a fine hundred and helping his side to a convincing win.

: Plan was to get some runs The pitch was tricky at the start. Stallions bowled quite well. I knew if I was at the back end, I could play big shots. Lakmal bowled well at the top, but I thought I could target spin. Today I sort of knew what to expect. I mostly played for the googly, it came off.

That concludes the coverage of this match. This is Prakhar Sachdeo along with my fellow commentator Sameer Doedhar taking your leave. But stay logged on to Sports Keeda as the cricket coverage continues.
Jaffna Stallions fall short of 6 runs.
19.6 Andre Russell to Wanindu Hasaranga, FOUR! Length ball on off-stump punched over mid-off for a four to complete the game!
19.5 Andre Russell to Wanindu Hasaranga, yorker on middle stump guided to the left of point. The fielder made a full-length dive and stopped the certain boundary
Oh dear oh dear! Is there a twist in the tale?
19.5 Andre Russell to Wanindu Hasaranga, NO BALL + SIX! Hasaranga has hooked the bouncer over the fine leg fence for a maximum! Also, he has overstepped and the mathematical equations have changed yet again!
19.4 Andre Russell to Wanindu Hasaranga, gets an inside edge on the slog onto his front pad and stands there knowing that the match is now mathematically out of their hands!
Hasaranga now needs to hit the remaining three balls out of the park!
19.3 Andre Russell to Wanindu Hasaranga, misses another big swing on the slower back of a length delivery past the leg stump. 18 needed off 3 balls!
19.2 Andre Russell to Wanindu Hasaranga, SIX! Slower full delivery on the pads hoicked well over long-on for a biggie! 18 needed off 4 balls now!
19.1 Andre Russell to Suranga Lakmal, misses on the big hoick over his stumps but scampers for a bye
Udana has done his job for the day. He bowls out. He has gone for just 20 runs while picking a wicket. Stallions need 25 runs from the last over of the match. Who will bowl the last over? It has to be Russell.
Over: 19 | Summary: 1 4 1 1 1 0 Bowler: Isuru Udana Score: 149/6
18.6 Isuru Udana to Wanindu Hasaranga, swing and a miss on the full delivery just outside off
18.5 Isuru Udana to Suranga Lakmal, full delivery on the stumps crunched to long-off for a single
18.4 Isuru Udana to Wanindu Hasaranga, full delivery on the stumps whipped to Mathews at short mid-wicket and he deflects the ball towards mid-on allowing a single
18.3 Isuru Udana to Suranga Lakmal, full delivery outside off squeezed behind point. The fielder from deep point did well to get there and restrict the batsmen to just one
And Lakmal gets the boundary. This match is still not done yet.
18.2 Isuru Udana to Suranga Lakmal, FOUR! Lakmal smacks the fullish delivery on his stumps on the bounce to the fielder at long-on. The ball bounces out his hands and goes over the fence!
Lakmal has to go for a big shot now.
