Mohammad Mithun (Sylhet Strikers' captain): The boys did very well. All three departments have been spot-on for us. Such a big win will give us a lot of confidence. This was a good total. I think 180-odd is always a good total on any surface. If our bowlers played their part, we would have a good chance, and that is what they did today. We did not have momentum early on in the tournament. That is why we lacked before. But we are happy now.

Benny Howell is the Player of the Match! Here is what he has to say.

Benny Howell: We played with a lot of freedom as there was nothing to lose. In T20 cricket, you can win some and lose some. But today we played with a lot of confidence. When you're bowling to Andre Russell, it's a really tough job to execute, but then, I am thankful to get the work done today.

Litton Das (Comilla Victorians captain): I played well yes, but, we lost the game. They batted really well and we bowled badly from overs 12 to 16. It was a slow and two-paced wicket I feel. We batted well actually, but from overs 16 to 20, we were a couple of boundaries short I think. We have some big names in our group, they know their roles and hopefully, they will come good from the next game like we know they can.

Although the Comilla Victorians started the game well, they could not quite compete on an equal footing against Sylhet Strikers, who finally had a good game to boot.

The Strikers put up an imposing total of 177 on the board thanks to some lusty blows from all-rounder Beny Howell in the end. The Englishman was critical for the Strikers to set up this massive total.

Comilla tried their best to chase these runs down - in fact, skipper Litton Das did his best - but somehow Sylhet came back and ensured that victory was theirs.

Despite possessing big hitters such as Johnson Charles and Andre Russell in their lineup, Comilla could not come off on the right end. Sylhet will be extremely pleased with this victory of theirs, since beating Comilla is a big deal.

This win will give a lot of confidence to the players of Sylhet, and although qualifying for the playoffs is virtually not possible now, it will bode well for them in the upcoming season.

That will be all - Comilla have been beaten by Sylhet!
