Kusal Mendis [Dambulla Aura captain]: Better surfaces will help the tournament. I am not sure what a good score would have been in this game. I am happy with the way the lads performed today. We need to keep doing well and winning games.

Dasun Shanaka [Galle Titans captain]: I expected the wicket to play better, thought it's high scoring and we didn't bat well either and its part and parcel of the game. We expected the surface to help the pacers and then spinners didn't bowl expected. We need to play well in all three departments and it's been a concern, we need to bounce back quickly. As a captain, when you lose, you know you can always come back strongly.

As was expected, Dambulla Aura managed to chase these runs down at a canter and defeat Galle Titans. Openers Avishka Fernando and Kusal Medis laid the groundwork for them while Sadeera Samarawickrama and Dhananjaya de Silva followed it up.

Opener Fernando played a brilliant knock to remain unbeaten till the end and see his team home. He was assisted well by de Silva in the end. Dambulla Aura go to the top of the table by winning this game. This will give them a lot of confidence.

Galle Titans, on the other hand, will feel that they should have done much better than they did with the bat in hand. Although they are not quite out of the competition just yet, they need to do a lot of hardwork to progress further.

Their skipper Dasun Shanaka will rue the fact that their batters got starts but could not go on to convert them into a big score. Although Shakib Al Hasan and Lahiru Kumara tried their best to defend this total, there just were not enough runs on the board.

Dambulla go to the top of the league table by winning this game! Avishka Fernando was brilliant!
