That's it for this game everyone!! We hope that you enjoyed this live coverage. This is Navjeevan Rajput signing off, do join Pradeep Somashekar and Sooryanarayanan Sesha once again as they take you through match 4 in Abu Dhabi T10, till next time take care and stay safe!!
Well then, the Braves playing their first match in Abu Dhabi T10 do not start off with a win. On the other end, the Gladiators would be pleased as they start their campaign with a win and bag two crucial points. The second game between the Northern Warriors and Team Abu Dhabi starts in just under a couple of minutes so do switch tabs or click here
Wahab Riaz (Deccan Gladiators Captain): The guys have played really well. That's what you look for in the first game and if you win that game it gives you a lot of confidence. The batters are going after you so I just kept bowling my line and length. I had a plan to bowl at the stumps so if they miss I hit. That was the plan to bowl at the stumps early on.
Tom Moores (Player of the Match): It was good actually. Someone like Russell helped me a lot. He has played on these wickets a lot and gave me a lot of advice out there. We had a few big overs which helped us massively. We just tried to get as many as we could. If we had a start we wanted to capitalize massively and thankfully it went well. Just tried to hit the ball as far as I can. Just having fun really, it's a great competition and am trying to hit as many sixes as I can.
It was always going to be a mountain of a job to get these runs from the Braves' perspective. And when Wahab Riaz took out both the opening batters in the first over, the game was pretty much sealed then and there.

That said, Angelo Perera and Ravi Bopara took on the bowling attack and unleashed boundaries at regular intervals. Such was the magnitude of the task at hand though that even the odd big over wasn't reducing the asking rate one bit. Both batters gave it everything they had though and took it as close as they could. It just wasn't enough with their bowling unit having bled far too many runs earlier in the game.

Some positives though for the Braves with both Bopara and Perera notching up powerful half-centuries en route to a partnership worth 109 runs. Needless to say, this will give them a lot of hope and positivity heading into the remaining games. Their bowlers were far too errant though and could take a cue out of how their opponents bowled today, considering their excellent usage of the yorker on a number of occasions made it tough for Bopara and Perera to stay on par with the 8-ball.
That will be all! A fine bowling performance from the Deccan Gladiators as they seal this contest by a handsome margin. Spare a thought for Bopara and Perera though with fighting half-centuries on their part not enough for their side. Deccan Gladiators beat The Chennai Braves by 24 runs.

9.6 Odean Smith to Dasun Shanaka, LUCKY BUT GLADIATORS WIN!! Yoker on the stumps, Dasun gets his bat down in time and gets an edge which rolls away down towards deep third and finds a boundary to end the innings
Samiullah Shinwari, RHB, makes his way to the crease. He will be at the non-striker's end.

Another one bites the dust. Just one more delivery to go and Smith has bowled a brilliant last over, irrespective of the fact that he's had a mountain of runs to play with.
9.5 Odean Smith to Ravi Bopara, CAUGHT IN THE DEEP!! On the length and outside off, Ravi pulls that away towards deep mid-wicket. He gets the height but not the distance. Ali in the deep gets under that one and gobbles it cleanly!

Ravi Bopara c Anwar b Smith 51 (26b, 7x4, 2x6)
9.4 Odean Smith to Ravi Bopara, full and in the blockhole that one, Ravi can just keep that one away from his stumps
Fifty for Ravi Bopara as well! Another brilliant innings but sadly, just not enough for the Chennai Braves.
9.3 Odean Smith to Ravi Bopara, HALF-CENTURY!! Short and on the stumps, Ravi muscles this down the ground and finds the ropes on the bounce
Dasun Shanaka, RHB, makes his way to the crease. He will be at the non-striker's end.
Odean Smith gets his name among the wickets now. Just the formalities remain at the Zayed Stadium even as Perera departs after a fine innings!
9.2 Odean Smith to Angelo Perera, HOLES OUT!! Fuller and on the stumps, Perera gets deep and whacks this away wide of long-off. Kohler-Cadmore in the deep runs towards right and completes a good running catch!

Angelo Perera c Kohler-Cadmore b Smith 60 (29b, 7x4, 2x6)
9.1 Odean Smith to Ravi Bopara, full and outside off, Ravi drives this down to long-off for just a single. Down to 33 runs in 5 balls now!!
Odean Smith is back into the attack to bowl the final over of the game. He will bowl over the wicket.
Safe to say that Andre Russell has sealed the deal for his side now. Far too many runs to chase right from the start of the chase and that has come back to hurt the Chennai Braves today. 34 runs needed off the last over and it's a matter of two good deliveries to close it out for the Gladiators.
