It all stated here on pitch number five. It looks a really nice rolled surface. When you look at it you will some tinge of grass and bare patches which will bring the spinners into play. The Vipers have their work cut out. They have Nathan Sowter and the part timer Dan Lawrence. Among the three venues, this is the lowest for spin. Dubai Capitals on the other hand have a great bowling attack. Runs on the board will be crucial in the final.

Commentary

Sam Billings (Dubai Capitals Captain): "Phenomenal. What a game of cricket. Both teams played some really good cricket throughout the tournament. Thankfully, the guys got us over the line. A couple of guys played some stunning knocks. Max Holden showed his class, put pressure on us and Sam Curran is playing unbelievably well. Carbon copy both teams, some quality ball striking from both. To have the quality of Sikandar Raza at No.7, Kuggeleijn at No.8 and there is Qais Ahmad who can strike the ball as well. Really nicely balanced side and thankfully came up trumps for us. (Owners getting their first trophy) 16-17 years and it is their first trophy. They gave me my first opportunity in the IPL. (Owners) Two incredibly kind and calm people. This is as much as for them as it is for us. (On Sikandar Raza) Quality cricketer and three-dimensional of course. When you win a tournament, it is never about a few individuals and it includes seniors stepping up in crunch situations. That is why he is such a big signing all around the world. To produce such a knock under that pressure, huge credit to him. The popularity of the tournament has grown over the last three years. To see a packed house tonight and to give them a final worthy of it was great."

Sam Curran: Yeah obviously reasonably flat right now. Was an amazing game. This is a small accolade but to tough after losing a game like this. Sorry to the Vipers fans but we had a great group. Hopefully next year we can go one step further. There was a lot of coaching staff that I knew so there was clarity. A thoroughly enjoyable season. Yeah the Capitals had a few wins against us in the group stage. We had a really good score tonight. Congratulations to the Capitals for winning the tournament. It's the professionalism and the family feeling which makes this group special.

For the third year in a row, Muhammad Waseem gets the 'Blue Belt' for being deemed to be the 'Best UAE Player'

Shai Hope gets the 'Green Belt' for being the 'Leading scorer of the season'. He became the first player to score more than 500 runs in a single season of the ILT20!

Rovman Powell is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: It feels really good. Halfway through the competition I didn't perform too well but I fell big players perform in crunch situations. We have done a lot of work during the three weeks. There is a great camaraderie in the group. Little bit of luck early on in the innings really helped. I am captain for my country, lot of guys are looking at me for inspiration. It was a privilege to play the final in Dubai.

Time for the post-match presentation ceremony with Simon Doull.

Sikandar Raza: Yeah I think certainly feels really proud and humble at the same tight. Certainly the lessons learnt from the last final helped us win this. I think the beauty of this culture is even though I was not having a great tournament, not anyone doubted me and my potential. The management had confidence in me, certainly, it was not only about skill but about character. Everybody is different. One thing is clarity. I wasn't having such a great tournament but having said that we moved up and down to manage many players. This team played selfless cricket. It's motivation, all those emotions. We have played so much cricket and the way train. I was asked to bat at number 5 and then it was shifted to 6 and 7 but it was the practise we had which didn't really deter us. I will leave early tomorrow. I will certainly be joining my team and hour early

Ian Bell: It's been a fantastic tournament through highs and lows. To get over the line in such a big tournament is a big thing. Yeah from a coaching point of view, we try to be as calm as possible. As Sikandar did today, a massive shout to Rovman as well. No you can't do much as a coaching staff. The Desert Vipers batting put us under a lot of pressure. Under pressure again as Sikandar said the training part.

David Warner: Had a back spasm, happy that GMR have got a trophy, we have fought long and hard. The momentum shift after the first few wickets. The key to all of this is staying still. Fantastic effort from the guys.

Scott Kuggeleijn: Stoked. I have been part of a fair few finals that hasn't gone our way as well. It has been around the board. I have played only 3 games but there is a lot of depth in this squad with both bat and ball.

Rovman Powell: Credit should go to everyone in the dressing room. It was all about staying calm in the middle. The competition wasn't great for me, I didn't score too many runs but today in the final I wanted to prove a point. I was disappointed after getting dismissed but was glad we eventually got through. I have been in a lot of finals. Lots of credit goes to the owners. They have been searching for a trophy which has eluded them for 17 years. It will be a big night for the GMR family.

Gulbadin Naib: Yes it's about winning the tournament. I gave my 110 percent. We planned to celebrate tonight whether we won or lost. This is the confidence which the management has given. What Sikandar has done, he is really Sikandar. Credit goes to the whole side, we haven't won the tournaments earlier so it's a big moment. Credit goes to the team.

STUNNING FROM SIKANDAR RAZA AND THE DUBAI CAPITALS! THEY ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF ILT20 SEASON 3! What a stunning end to the game as Zimbabwean pulled off a match that seemed to be slipping towards the Vipers’ way!

Chasing 190 for victory, Dubai Capitals got off to a bad start as 31/3 after 4.5 overs by the duo of Mohammad Amir and David Payne. Then, Shai Hope and Rovman Powell steadied the ship with a 80-run partnership. It wasn't always clean though as Powell did get a reprieve in the 8th over when Nathan Sowter could have had him stumped off just his second delivery. However, Azam Khan had collected the ball in front of the wicket and the umpires awarded a no-ball because of that.

Sam Curran eventually broke the partnership in the 14th over but Powell continued to motor on while Dasun Shanka also produced a valuable cameo. Shanaka was dismissed for 21 off 10 balls by David Payne in the 17th over but Powell and Sikandar Raza ensured that they took 13 runs off the first five balls off the 18th over bowled by Sowter. The leg-spinner eventually got rid of Powell on the final delivery but the Capitals found themselves in a decent position by then needing 24 runs off the last 12 balls.

With Mohammad Amir still having an over left, the Vipers would have believed that they still have a chance but Raza smashed three boundaries off his bowling as the penultimate over fetched 15 runs. Khuzaima Bin Tanveer was left with only 9 runs to defend and it didn't turn out to be enough as Raza smashed a maximum off the first delivery before striking a boundary off the very next ball. The Zimbabwean ended up with a stunning 34 off 12 balls as he helped the Capitals sail home to the ILT20 Trophy!

19.2 Khuzaima Bin Tanvir to Sikandar Raza, FOUR! Dubai Capitals are the Champions of the ILT20. Sikandar Raza you beauty. Slower back of a length delivery around off, Raza clears his front leg, backs away and cuts it fiercely to find the gap. What a knock from Raza.
