And no surprise here for the MoM. It's Dhanushka Gunathilaka! He tells Darren Ganga that it was important for him to go out there and have some fun. He can thank his team's bowlers too for making that target anything but threatening.

On that winning note, that's it from me Vasisht Vasan and my fellow commentator Abhinav Singh. It was fun bringing to y'all this coverage! Get some dinner if you haven't as yet, followed by a good night's sleep...especially if you happen to be a Galle Gladiators fan.
Winning Galle Gladiators captain Rajapaksa tells Darren Ganga that the plan was simple - "Either win, or go home". Guess what, they are not going home...for now.
Stand-in skipper Kusal Mendis tells Darren Ganga that they probably lost the game during their batting innings losing too many wickets early. He says Kusal Perera might just be ok.
And...Galle Gladiators seal that final semi-final spot after finding themselves bottom of the table before the start of this game. I guess, ever since that first Mohammed Amir over of the game, Kandy Tuskers were behind the 8-ball. The Gladiators bowling unit set it up for their batting unit and they did the needful. Dhanushka Gunathilaka gave little hope to the Tuskers on the field with some clean, calm & unrelenting striking.

Now to the post-match presentation.
Galle Gladiators WIN! They get there with 3 overs to spare. Pressure game? Ask Gunathilaka maybe. What. A. Knock.
Over: 17 | Summary: 1w 1 1 4 0 1 4b Bowler: Asela Gunaratne Score: 130/1
16.6 Asela Gunaratne to Ahsan Ali, OH NOO! ALI wanted to defend the ball so that Gunathilaka had a chance to get to his hundred! However, the ball after pitching on the outside off line spun in viciously, bamboozling the batsman as well as the makeshift keeper Gurbaz. With the fine leg inside the 30 yard circle, the ball raced to the boundary. Galle Gladiators winning the match by 9 wickets but Gunathilaka stranded on 94! That was a special innings which deserved the stamp of a century!
16.5 Asela Gunaratne to Danushka Gunathilaka, fuller length ball on the outside off line. The southpaw shuffles across and bunts the ball to deep long on region for a single. SCORES ARE LEVEL! Will Ali defend the final ball and allow Gunathilaka to take the strike in the next over?
16.4 Asela Gunaratne to Danushka Gunathilaka, length delivery on the legstump, Danushka comes in the line of the ball and defends it with a straight bat back to the bowler
16.3 Asela Gunaratne to Danushka Gunathilaka, FOUR! CLASS WRITTEN ALL OVER IT!  fuller length delivery wide outside off. Gunathilaka stands tall and squeezes out the ball to deep backward point region for a boundary
16.2 Asela Gunaratne to Ahsan Ali, length delivery bowled at a gentle pace on the pads. Ali on the backfoot clips the ball to deep midwicket for a solitary run
16.1 Asela Gunaratne to Danushka Gunathilaka, tossed up ball on the legstump. Danushka is drawn into the shot as he chips the ball to wide square leg for a single
16.1 Asela Gunaratne to Danushka Gunathilaka, fuller length delivery skidding way outside off the tramlines, WIDE signalled by the umpire
Steyn culls out 4 quality dot balls in that over but still 10 from it. That kind of day for the Tuskers. The players will now break for the second and final strategic time-out. With just 9 to get, this strategy better be the GOAT of strategies.
Over: 16 | Summary: 3nb 1w 6 0 0 0 0 1 Bowler: Dale Steyn Score: 118/1
15.6 Dale Steyn to Danushka Gunathilaka, slow overpitched ball on the offstump. Toe-ended by Gunathilaka off the backfoot to short extra cover for a quick single. A direct hit could have made things interesting!
15.5 Dale Steyn to Danushka Gunathilaka, slow length delivery bowled across from the batsman. The southpaw shuffling towards and the ball and looking to hoick it over midwicket misses the line of the ball
15.4 Dale Steyn to Danushka Gunathilaka, fuller length delivery angling away from the batsman. Gunathilaka opens the face of the bat and guides the ball right into the palms of cover point. No run taken
15.3 Dale Steyn to Danushka Gunathilaka, slow length delivery bowled wide outside off. The batsman had moved towards the line of the ball and that's why it is not given a wide. TWO DOTS on the TROT!
